The Home Health Aide is a non-licensed member of the patient care team trained to provide personal care, activities of daily living and related services in the home for the sick and disabled when no family member can assume this responsibility. This position functions under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the residents.
Qualifications
- Completion of a formal Health Aide/nursing assistant program is preferred
- One year of supervised employment as Home Health Aide or nursing assistant is preferred
- Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions and keep appropriate records
- Hold current CPR and First Aid card
- Reliable and caring with excellent customer service and hospitality skills
