Rate of Pay: $18.00 to $34.16 per hour (Depending on Qualifications)

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Coordinator for the Lake County Home Hardening Project will play a crucial role in facilitating the implementation of a comprehensive program aimed at enhancing home resilience against wildfires. The role involves responsibilities spanning homeowner education, outreach, application intake, home and parcel assessments, case management, environmental compliance, FEMA review, Home Hardening, defensive space implementation, and fiscal/project outcomes reporting. This is a highly collaborative position that requires creativity, an ability to think strategically, and above average communication and organizational skills. This position may be called upon to act as a liaison to local, regional, state, or federal partners, as well as engage with clients and members of the community, requiring a high level of professionalism and emotional intelligence, and the ability to be an effective presenter. The Project Coordinator will also perform a variety of administrative tasks, requiring proficiency in Microsoft Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager or Director concerning the project, including management issues and activities, and assist in program-level policy development.
- Develop and distribute approved outreach materials through a variety of methods, including community press, digital communications (social media, websites), partner communications and community events.
- Utilize a mobile application for exterior home assessments, produce reports for eligible defensible space and retrofit measures and ensure quality control measures are utilized to limit errors before submitting the final assessment to CALFIRE,
- Maintain client case files in compliance with FEMA requirements and ensure accurate data entry into the Salesforce system.
- Convene and facilitate meetings, track and report project-related information, and manage parts of the project budget following the policies and procedures of NCO and its accounting department practices.
- Provide for the tracking and reporting of all information and data related to the project in a manner that meets the requirements of NCO and/or the project funder(s); coordinate with the NCO IT team to secure needed technological support following established access and request protocols.
- Work in a professional, collaborative manner with all partners and agencies connected to the project as a means of expediting efficient and successful outcomes.
- Ensure all NCO and CALFIRE safety and legal measures are strictly followed while performing home assessments, while being mindful of the homeowner’s property. Ensure the NCO team is not a nuisance to the homeowner or surrounding neighbors.
- Stay informed about and comply with all NCO personnel policies and procedures both as an employee and as relates to the role and duties of a supervisor as appropriate, including completing staff evaluations.
