Grade 5 – Part-time Reports to: Director of Nutrition
Position Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license. Job requires frequent lifting.
Summary: The Delivery Driver will pack, load and deliver meals from a nutrition site or local designated storage area to home bound clients as directed. Work methods are fairly easily learned and employees generally follow detailed instructions when work is not of a repetitive nature. Employees must be able to assist the public in a professional manner.
- Pack and load meals to be delivered according to AASC procedures for hot, frozen or canned meals.
- Lists number of meals you are delivering on the office meal count forms.
- Deliver meals to home bound clients.
- Straighten freezer and storage area each work day.
- Accept the grocery truck and help sort deliveries.
- Delivers grocery orders to nutrition sites.
- Accept the Home Delivered Meal truck and place meals in freezer.
- Maintain and clean food carriers.
- Maintain accurate records for assigned tasks
- Performs other agency-related services as warranted
- Attends training as required
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all information pertaining to clients and program operations.
- Demonstrate and maintain good work ethics
