Hollow Metal Shop Foreman

Well established distributor in Southeast Florida (Lake Worth) seeks experienced Hollow Metal Shop Foreman. We are a thirty plus year commercial door and hardware company in Southeast Florida. Must be capable of performing welding and hardware templating layouts for frames and doors. Knowledge of UL Fire and FBC windstorm labeling procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Capable of teaching and relating instructions to Hollow Metal fabricators for building frame and door build sheets.
• Maintain a safe clean working environment for employees.
• Scheduling of employees work hours, vacation, and sick days.
• Responsible for maintaining stock levels for Hollow Metal doors, frame material and associated sundry items.
• Maintain inventory levels suitable for the fabrication of daily shop orders and build to meet the schedule for timely jobsite delivery.
• Review each build sheet order for fabrication and alert sales staff of conflicting issues.
• Schedule orders with fabricators and oversee production to meet delivery schedule.

Requirement:

• Must be a team leader, organized and possess people skills
• Knowledge in all phases of Hollow Metal door and frame production, such as MIG welding, hardware templating layouts for frames and doors, quality control and all other phases of running a fast-paced shop.
• Knowledge of UL Fire and FBC windstorm labeling procedures is a plus.
