Holiday Pet Host

We are looking for a dog lover to join our team during the Christmas and New Year's holidays!

Are you home during the day, LOVE dogs and want to make some extra money? If this describes you, being a Pet Host would be a great fit! 

Job Summary

Because living, breathing animals will be relying on you; it is vital that Pet Hosts be organized, competent and willing to clean up feces, urine and vomit, when necessary. Trustworthiness, plenty of common sense, and an ability to follow detailed instructions are key criteria to working with us. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Home must be free from obvious and known hazards because dogs will chew on things.
• Fenced-in yard and doors that latch properly.
• Safe and sanitary place to contain client’s dogs when you are not home.
• WHOLE FAMILY must be excited to take in pets.
• Understand that there will be accidents, illnesses and messes to clean up.
• Familiar with and able to care for the breeds that you agree to board
• Dog(s) cannot be left alone for more than four hours

Perks

• Pay is based on the number of nights
• You pick which dogs you wish to care for
• You chose which days you want to work.
• Work in your own home
• If client requests dog walks, you are paid extra!
• Lots of doggie kisses!

Requirements:

• Safety of client’s pets is our primary goal so no personal pets can live in the home during service.
• Confirmation from the city that your home has appropriate zoning for such work.
• Own home or provide a letter from landlord agreeing to private boarding.
• Sign an independent contractor agreement to provide service during dates agreed upon with opportunity for extension in 2024.
• Ability to pass a federal background check
• Smart phone with texting and email access
• Experience with animals (owning pets counts)
• Customer service background preferred
• Excellent communication skills

Compensation for overnight boarding in your home (based on 24-hour period): 

• One dog (non-holiday) = $50
• One dog (holiday*) $60
• Two dogs (non-holiday) = $70
• Two dogs (holiday*) = $85

*holidays are December 16-31 and January 1, 2024
