A family in Pacific Heights, San Francisco, is seeking a live-in nanny for their children ages 4, 3, and 1. They also have a full-time nanny from 6:30am-6pm Monday through Friday whose primary responsibility is the youngest child. The two older children are in preschool from 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. The schedule they are looking for with the live-in nanny is from 6am/6:30am-9:30am and then 4:30pm-7:30pm Monday through Wednesday. They also want coverage Saturday and Sunday from 6:30am-6pm. The live-in nanny's days off will be Thursday and Friday; the total weekly hours of the live-in nanny will be 41-42.5. This role will eventually transition to a ROTA one-week-on/one-week-off (not two-weeks on/off) schedule no later than December 2024. The family will be going to Europe for 6 weeks during July and half of August and they will bring the candidate to hire for 3 of those weeks and then the candidate to hire will have 3 weeks off when the other nanny flies in for the remaining time.
The duties include doing the children's laundry, preparing meals for the children such as breakfast and lunch, seeking out activities for the children (especially on weekends to help keep them entertained), and someone to drive at times. Their other nanny handles most of the weekday related driving for the children. The skills desired for this role include someone who can take charge and be a self-starter. The parents like to provide guidelines but want someone who can color in the rest so to speak rather than needing to be very specific.
The nanny will have their own private bedroom and bathroom. The home is 4-floors and the nanny's accommodations are on the 1st floor; the main living area is the 2nd floor; the parent's and children's bedrooms are on the 3rd floor; and the playroom/extra bedroom is on the 4th floor. There is a 20-pound dog in the home who is a sweetheart and hypoallergenic.
