Seeking a part-time Sales Associate to join our team at H.M. Flagler & Co. Museum Store within the Flagler Museum. The ideal candidate will be a team-player, friendly, motivated, and service-oriented, with previous experience in retail.
As a Sales Associate, you will work in the store and assist with picnic sales. You will assist customers in selecting merchandise with a connection to Whitehall and The Gilded Age, and maintain a knowledge of current products and collections. Associates will be comfortable with cash handling, jewelry sales, and familiar with effective suggestive selling techniques. Some computer knowledge is required for this position. Associates will ensure the store is clean, organized, and well merchandised, and the individual completes tasks assigned by the supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.
● High school diploma or equivalent required.
● Previous experience in customer service (high price-point retail like jewelry or luxury brands preferred).
● Excellent communication skills.
● Ability to work a flexible schedule including regular weekends and evenings (during the holiday season).
● Motivated and able to work with diligence independently, as well as within part of a team.
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8 hour shifts) and lift up to 25 pounds.
● Love for History and knowledge of The Gilded Age is preferred!
