The Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Coordinator is responsible for professional work in support of Ryan White Services and Resources, a division of the New Orleans Health Department, to implement program activities for two federal EHE grants from HRSA and CDC. Work involves the analysis of epidemiological data, grant and report writing, community and stakeholder outreach and engagement, program activity coordination, and related work to fulfill grant requirements across multiple funding streams. Incumbent will be required to master HRSA and CDC legislation to support assigned grants.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Bachelor's degree* in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare Management, a social science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
2. Four (4) years of professional experience in grant writing, quality improvement, evaluation, Public Health, program coordination, community outreach, community engagement, or coordination.
NOTE: A Master's Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare Management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to effectively engage the public along all demographics and establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
NOTE: Professional experience is paid experience gained after the receipt of a Bachelor's Degree in a position that required a Bachelor's degree upon entrance. Civil Service reserves the right to determine what is considered to be professional experience.
