Position Overview
The HIT Marketing, Associate Director will be responsible for creating and executing a strategy and tactics to engage health systems customers in leveraging HIT capabilities aligned to the overall health systems brand marketing strategy. This individual will identify priority areas for investment across our health system customers' rapidly evolving HIT environment. Priority technology areas include, but are not limited to, electronic health record (EHR) systems, population health management (PHM) software, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, analytics tools, and other solutions that could be used to drive execution against key brand goals. This individual will oversee development and execution of market-facing solutions delivered primarily through customer-facing personnel, such as HIT Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) and Screening and/or Precision Oncology (PO) Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), and monitor business impact of each investment. This individual will serve as a subject-matter expert on HIT within channels, act as the liaison with lab information technology (IT), and continuously identify new and evolving technology which enables our customers to detect cancer earlier and develop the right oncology treatment plans at the right time.
The HIT personal promotion strategy and tactics must be strategically aligned and complementary to the Health Systems Brand Marketing personal promotion approach. Thus, the Associate Director, HIT Marketing, must partner closely with the Health Systems Brand Marketing team and the HIT Marketing team, as well as other cross-functional business units including Market Access, HEOR, HCP and Consumer Cologuard Brand Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Field Sales leadership.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Act as a subject matter expert across one or multiple dimensions of the HIT landscape, marketing and commercial teams, and the intersection with health systems; including, but not limited to, business model, priorities, and capabilities.
  • Pair technology trends into relevant market opportunities to impact patient outcomes and results and translate these trends to actionable resources in market.
  • Create and execute commercial HIT marketing strategy from white space.
  • Develop and drive the non-personal promotion (NPP) HIT strategy in collaboration with Health Systems colleagues and guide execution tactics in this space.
  • Lead execution of solutions to be delivered in-market across multiple customer-types.
  • Apply understanding of non-technical factors for healthcare process improvement and how those factors impact marketing asset development.
  • Build collaborative working relationships across lab and commercial leadership to create differentiated resources to enable success of customer facing HIT SAMs.
  • Fluent in relevant healthcare market trends and policies and an ability to translate those trends to business opportunities; including, but not limited to, Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA), and quality measures.
  • Collaborate across multiple internal and external teams to sponsor and serve as a change agent internally around organized customers broadly to ensure development and execution of customer needs and resources.
  • Communicate effectively with marketing agencies and external vendors and partners.
  • Drive multiple projects from ideation through to commercialization and lead business impact assessment.
  • Coordinate the work of multiple external vendors and internal departments; including, but not limited to, agency partners, marketing, market research, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, corporate compliance, and IT.
  • Provide strategic, customer-centric, relevant, timely, and constructive feedback during development.
  • Translate market trends into relevant market and customer resources, think outside-the-box, and create disruptive solutions which enable us to meet our mission of early cancer detection.
  • Bring internal and external stakeholders together to co-create solutions to advance our mission of early cancer detection.
  • Translate knowledge into strategy and solutions development which intersect with HIT; including, but not limited to, payment reform topics, care redesign, the move towards value-based care, population health management, and other trends impacting the healthcare environment.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership to champion marketing initiatives, gain alignment, and report back on measurement plans; including, but not limited to, effectiveness, efficiency, and market research.

  • Ability to travel 40% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, HIT field, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • 11+ years of experience in health information technology, marketing, or commercial field.
  • Demonstrated outstanding marketing and strategy acumen.
  • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare, HIT field, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • Experience with digital health, health systems, HIT, and population health management (PHM) companies.

Salary Range:
$147,000.00 - $234,000.00
The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements of the applicable plans.
