SalaryJob Purpose: To deliver quality diagnostic and technical services for all patient specimen received within the laboratory.
Duties:
- Specimen pick up from designated location
- Grossing specimen received within the laboratory
- Abiding by CLIA, OSHA, and HIPPA safety and privacy laws
- Processing specimen
- Embedding specimen
- Microtomy of each specimen
- Routine staining of slides
- Proper labeling of cassettes and slides to assigned accessioning number
- Routine care and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Properly filling out QA or maintenance logs/records on equipment
- Proper communication among fellow co-workers
- Keep yearly safety training and certifications current and up to date
- Ability to properly package and keep records of slides that are shipped out
- Proper waste disposal of laboratory chemicals
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
