Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. Job Description:

Test administrators are needed for evening (5pm - 9pm) and Saturday testing on BHCC's Chelsea campus. Supervisors normally work 1-2 evenings per week (5:30 to 9:00 pm) and 1-2 Saturdays per month (8:30 am to 2:30 pm). Additional shifts may occasionally be available.

Responsibilities include:

  • verifying the identity and eligibility of test takers in accordance with state and vendor policies;
  • maintaining survellance logs and other documentation as required;
  • maintaining the security of all testing materials;
  • conducting testing sessions in accordance with state and vendor policies;
  • assisting the Coordinator of Student Assessment and Director of Testing Services in hiring, training, and supervising Proctors;
  • attending periodic trainings sponsored by the jurisdiction and/or the Assessment Center.
  • Other duties as assigned, in accordance with Massachusetts HiSET and GED Supervisor requirements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be able to pass vendor certification tests required to administer HiSET and GED
  • Prior experience with administration of computerized assessments
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Prior experience working with diverse student populations
  • Reliability and punctuality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience administering the computerized HiSET and/or GED exams
  • Experience in a community college, HiSET/GED, or Adult Education program setting

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Candidates must not be involved in high school equivalency instruction.
  • This is not a remote position.


Additional Information:

Salary: MCCC part-time rate/$32.00 per hour, not exceeding 18.50 hours weekly
