Form of workMaxim Healthcare is looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) who has a heart for pediatrics to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient client care. This is a 1:1 Private Duty position that works toward keeping patients home with their families, where they want to be the most!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assesses and evaluates patient nursing needs regularly
- Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
- Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
- Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
- Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
- Assures patient/client safety at all times
- Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the care/services environment and equipment used, including universal precautions
- Adheres to the following professional practice standards:
- Nurse Practice Act
- Standards of Nursing Practice
- Standards of Patient Care
- Standards of Accrediting Body
- State and Local Laws
- Patient Bill of Rights
- Policies and procedures of contracted customers
- Adheres to Maxim policy, procedure and applicable protocols
- Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in specific state required
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
- Current CPR
- PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Successful completion of Maxim Orientation and Compliance training, and all other assigned trainings as required
