The City of Hinesville is accepting applications for the Hinesville Summer Youth Employment Program (HSYEP). The Hinesville Summer Youth Enhancement Program will take students through an extensive selection process, including interviewing, training, and resume preparation, while providing them with job-related knowledge and skills that they will need to be successful in any future career they choose. Students will learn more about City of Hinesville government and work in a variety of roles within local government, state agencies, community organizations, private as well as non-profit organizations within the City of Hinesville city limits.
Minimum Qualifications to Apply:
- You MUST be a resident of Hinesville
- You MUST be between the age of 14-18 and be in grades 9-12 for the 2024/2025 school year.
- You MUST have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- You MUST be able to work 20 hours a week.
- You MUST submit a complete and timely application.
- You MUST participate in the interview process.
- You MUST s ubmit a copy of the most recent report card.
- You MUST have your own transportation to and from job sites.
The program starts on May 28, 2024, and ends on July 3, 2024. The hourly rate of pay is no less than $10.00/per hour. Applications will be accepted until April 12, 2024.
Work permits are required for all students under the age of sixteen (16). Minors (14-15) may obtain work permits from the Liberty County Board of Education office and must be submitted prior to their first day of work. Please apply online at: https://ga-hinesville.civicplushrms.com/careers
