High School Special Education Paraprofessional

• Ability to develop and build positive working relationships with co-workers
• Regular, timely and predictable attendance 
• Demonstrate understanding, patience and caring toward students with special needs
• Ability to follow established District policies/procedures regarding student medical  concerns, safety, student rights, emergency/disaster plans 
• Basic technology skills and ability to apply technology when working with students or completing other assigned duties 
• A willingness to learn more about students with disabilities & participate in  professional development opportunities 
• Maintain confidentiality of student information (FERPA/HIPPA) 
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Comply with Medicaid billing requirements when applicable 
• Demonstrate professional behavior in manner and appearance
