Full-time position - 210 days per contract year
Job Statement: Will provide secretarial and technical support to building administrator and serve as information liaison between administration, staff, students, parents and the general public.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) desired, but not required
- Two-years' experience in similar work desired.
- Proficient with computer technology, with a detailed working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Google Docs, Calendar and Forms
- Social Media sites
- iVisions (desired)
- Money handling experience, Petty cash etc.
- Prepare bank deposits and reconciliation of bank statements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding students, staff, and family
- Ability to prepare and maintain complete and accurate records and reports
- Ability to solve problems, make independent decisions, and comply with strict deadlines
- Ability to complete computer data entry work, using District computer programs, to input a high volume of data with speed and accuracy, including confidential data, in an environment with constant interruptions.
- Ability to maintain accurate student records including daily attendance records, check-in/check-out, status, and updates to student database as required.
- Ability to research, create, input, format, organize, and edit relevant data as needed or requests and prepares in a usable format.
- Ability to supervise students in main office area.
- Ability to independently answer routine questions and correspondence not requiring the principal's attention.
- Ability to perform general office duties including answering multi-line phones, ordering supplies, greeting the public, typing, copying, filing, sorting and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
- Ability to support the building principal in preparing presentations, newsletters, publications, budget, tracking, calendar management, travel and room arrangements, correspondence to staff, parents, students, and community members.
- Ability to support in scheduling conferences and programs as required including creating schedules, contacting all invited parties, preparing confirmation and distributing materials to all parties (teachers, specialist, parents, etc.).
- Ability to assist with budget preparation including supply inventory and ordering of furniture, textbooks equipment and ensuring that all billing and shipping issues are resolved with vendors and staff.
- Ability to manage special projects and school events as assigned by the principal
Salary/Benefits: Range: $21.63 - $27.40
(placement on the salary range is based on years of experience)
District pays PERS contribution. Excellent benefit package.
