Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and certified High School Math Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a certified math teacher with a strong background in secondary education, possessing a passion for helping students succeed in mathematics. The tutor should have a minimum of 3 years of in-person tutoring experience and at least 1 year of experience in online tutoring.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Individual and Group Tutoring Sessions:

   • Provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions to High School students in various math subjects.
   • Facilitate group tutoring sessions to address common challenges and reinforce key concepts.

2. Develop Customized Learning Plans:

   • Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to create personalized learning plans.
   • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.

3. Certified Math Instruction:

   • Leverage your certification as a math teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum standards.
   • Stay abreast of changes in educational standards and adapt tutoring methods accordingly.

4. Online Tutoring:

   • Conduct effective online tutoring sessions using virtual platforms, ensuring a seamless transition from traditional to online learning.
   • Utilize digital tools and resources to enhance the online tutoring experience.

5. Track and Monitor Student Progress:

   • Regularly assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, and tests.

6. Communication:

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
2. State certification as a math teacher.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in in-person tutoring.
4. Minimum of 1 year of experience in online tutoring.
5. Strong knowledge of High School Math curriculum and instructional strategies.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Patience and adaptability in working with diverse student populations.
