The High School Language Arts Teacher’s role encompasses guiding students in Language Arts comprehension, literature analysis, and writing proficiency within a High School environment. Tasked with designing and implementing comprehensive curriculum plans, the teacher fosters an enriching educational experience. Moreover, within the context of a Christian educational institution, the scope extends to integrating biblical principles into instruction, fostering spiritual growth, and promoting a Christian worldview. Collaborating with colleagues, engaging with parents/guardians, and participating in professional development activities further enriches the scope of the role, ensuring holistic student development.
Estimated hours: 40 hrs per week, August through May

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational objectives for High SchoolLanguage Arts courses.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary activities and projects.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of best practices in education.
- Achieve teachers certification through ACSI
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Academics or school administration.
