High School Girls Tennis Coaches Neededfor 2023-24 Fall Season
The College Preparatory School, a private High School in North Oakland, seeks Girls' Varsity
Assistant Coaches for our Girls Tennis Program for the fall 2023-24 season. We seek dynamic
candidates looking to help build on an established and successful program. Coaching candidates
focused on coaching tennis and teaching lifelong values of sportsmanship, integrity,
commitment, personal responsibility, teamwork, and self-discipline.
The 2023-24 season runs from Aug. 7 to Nov. 18.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Providing instruction, mentoring, and coaching to student-athletes in skills, techniques, and
competitive strategies
● Working cooperatively and professionally with all school staff
● Attending all department and league meetings
● Presenting a positive image to the student-athletes and the campus community by maintaining
appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics
Qualifications:
● Knowledgeable of the fundamentals and advanced techniques of volleyball
● Ideally, the candidate has a strong background in setting or defensive specialist
● Be able to teach, be a positive role model, and provide direction to players of all skill levels,
from the beginning player to the advanced player
● Applicants must have experience in coaching at the High School or college level
● Positive and professional attitude
● Flexible afternoon and evening schedules
● Valid California driver's license
● CPR and first-aid training preferred (or willingness to gain proficiency)
