Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking a full-time Chemistry Teacher for our High School division for the 2024-25 school year.
The ideal candidate has the knowledge, passion and experience necessary to teach both 10th grade honors chemistry or general chemistry classes and adapt the curriculum to either skill level, as well as a 12th grade chemistry elective course (past courses have included forensic science and environmental chemistry), run engaging and well-planned laboratory activities, and manage the inventory of chemical substances and laboratory equipment with attention and care. Ability to teach a grade-level (non-honors) 11th grade physics course is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Masters or PhD preferred
- Master degree in Education preferred
- Experience teaching chemistry at a High School or university level

The full-time equivalent salary range is $55,000 - $95,000, depending on years of experience.
