HHA needed in Woodbury, NY - Mon-Wed 8am-8pm

Alliance Homecare is looking for a Certified Home Health Aide to work with a client in Woodbury, NY.

$20-$22 per hour

• Client: Male, 79 years old
• Primary Diagnosis: Prostate Cancer
• Location: Woodbury, NY

Schedule:

• Day Shift: Monday-Wednesday 8a-8p

Care Details:

• Client is wheelchair bound, caregiver to assist with ADLs.
• 1 dog present in the home - poodle 35 pounds. Can sometimes come into the client's room, putting the dog in a separate room is not an option.
• Wife and son are very involved in care.

Home Health Aides will provide the following tasks as indicated on the individualized plan of care:

• Perform home management tasks including housekeeping, laundry, shopping, accompanying to appointments, and errands
• Prepare and serve simple modified diets according to instruction and assists with feeding
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assist with medication as specified on plan of care
• Observe and report all changes to RN
• Demonstrate competence in performing necessary skills
• Complete all other duties assigned within the HHA scope of practice

HHA Job Requirements:

• Must have an active New York State Home Health Aide Certificate
• Must have at least one year of HHA experience
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Fluency in English
