Herbal Sales Representative / Budtender

Greenhouse Herbal Center, LLC is one of the premier cannabis retail establishments in Los Angeles, California. Located on Hollywood Blvd., Greenhouse Herbal Center (GHC) is seeking to set the standard in the patient/client relationship and to add to our team of Herbal Sales Representatives (HSR) to assist in our ever-growing company.

HSR/"Budtending" experience preferred but not required. A great attitude and willingness to learn and absorb vast information regarding all things cannabis is HIGHLY preferred.

Minimum Requirements

• Some experience with Treez POS or similar system
• 1+ years in high-end retail sales OR 6+ months in a cannabis retail setting
• 1 + years of cash handling experience
• 21 years or older (per state regulation)
• Must be authorized to work in the USA (no sponsorship)
• High School Diploma or GED/Associate's Degree
• Selected candidates will undergo an employment background check

Introducing First Time Patients to All Things Cannabis

Educating customers about a variety of cannabis products, including

• Flower
• Edibles
• Concentrates
• Vape carts, pods and all-in-one disposables
• Topicals
• Tinctures
• Tablets
• Seeds
• Accessories
• Experience: Educating yourself on new and current products, strains, changes in policy and industry trends in order to provide the highest level of customer service

Policy and Regulations

• Learning about changes in local, state and federal law to ensure compliance
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
• Verifying proper identification and paperwork from customers
• Maintaining patient information and proper records

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• While performing the duties of an HSR, the employee is regularly required to stand for up to 2+ hours at a time, take a 10 minutes paid break, then stand for another 2+ hours, at which point the employee would clock out before hitting 5 hours or go on a 30 minute (minimum, can be up to 45 minutes to an hour, based on the shift) unpaid meal period
• As this is a sales position, the employee must be able to speak at an audible level and listen to customers, management and fellow team members
• The employee is occasionally required to kneel/crouch for cleaning/sanitizing and restocking purposes
• The employee is occasionally lifting and/or moving objects up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate.

Housekeeping

• *Masks and gloves are provided, but currently not required to wear*
• Dusting, wiping down counters, sanitizing high traffic areas, sweeping/mopping, cleaning glass, outside storefront, employee breakroom and restrooms

Along with the starting pay rate of $16.78 per hour, tips are pooled between HSRs and Shift Leads and average $6-$9 per hour worked (paid out biweekly).
