Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities
Play an integral role and provide support to aseptic pulp process production in the production of high-quality drumming and aseptic bag in box products in accordance.
with company GMP standards.
Principal Responsibilities
Collect and package bulk pulp in bag-in-boxes and drums. Assemble wooden packaging boxes for bag in box products. Transfer drums from receiving to assembly line. Place double
liners in drums. Inspect drums and liners. Seal drums with drum lids by using a huck fastener. Label drum and bag in box manifests. Keep drumming/box conveyors, rollers, tables and
entire area clean. Mix/use cleaning solutions. Keep work area clean at all times. Demonstrate good attendance. Work 8-hour day with extended hours as needed. Observe GMP
standards. May operate forklift if training is fulfilled. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements [Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily]
High School Diploma or GED.
Training, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Demonstrated ability to identify equipment inefficiencies and assist with troubleshooting. Ability to perform routine, repetitive movements in a fast paced environment. Requires climbing,
bending and twisting from the waist, stooping and squatting. Requires moving materials weighing over 75 pounds and lifting from all levels. Requires pushing objects weighing over 75
pounds and pulling objects with force. Requires the use of a hoist to move objects in excess of 300 lbs. Requires working in a hot environment, and keeping up with a fast pace of
production. Requires the use of power tools. Ability to record, understand and communicate collected data. Ability to mix and use chemicals. Forklift Operator License optional.(Forklift
duties will be delegated if employee has current forklift license and training).
Non-Essential Functions
• Operate other equipment when necessary.
• Learn to perform other jobs in the functional area.
• Be a team member in the quality improvement process.
• Participate in the CCJ safety process.
• Train new employees.
Equipment
Pulp filling machine, storage tanks, finishers, gauges, high pressure hoses, hand tools, drum sealer, pressure rig, latex gloves, rubber gloves, leather gloves, ear plugs, hard hat, safety
glasses, forklift, cleaning chemicals, staple gun, pressure washer.
Working Conditions
Work is in a fast-paced environment. Requires exposure to temperature extremes, high noise levels, moving equipment, heights, wetness, fumes, vibrations, dust, chlorine, caustic, and
other chemicals.
