The IT Technician will be responsible for providing contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and application issues. This individual will respond to and resolve requests for technical assistance in person, via the telephone or electronically. They will advise users of appropriate actions, follow standard operating procedures, and log all Help Desk interactions. This person will redirect issues to appropriate resources and identify or escalate situations requiring urgent attention.

- Set up, coordinate and monitor the operation of electronic computer equipment
- Configure, install, repair and conduct preventative maintenance of personal computers and other client systems
- Provide troubleshooting and problem resolution for computer hardware and software problems
- Manage inventory of computer related systems and components
- Management and troubleshooting of mobile devices including phones and tablets.
- Deploy software and apply security patches
- Document changes, processes and procedures
- Manage users/groups in Active Directory and file permission for network locations
- Manage, update and troubleshooting application of Group Policy Objects
- Basic troubleshooting of networking components, LAN (wired and wireless) and WAN connectivity
- Automate processes, where applicable, to minimize repetitive work
Education and Experiences
- Good understanding of various Microsoft operating systems and software
- Working knowledge of general networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft platforms including Sharepoint and Microsoft365
- Working knowledge of Powershell or other scripting / automation platforms preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- Two years of related experience
