Essential Job Duties
- Perform daily preventative maintenance such as track cleaning, inspection for damage, and fluid check.
- Adhere to all prescribed safety practices and procedures.
- Interpret signals, stakes, and markings to respect plan specifications, safe use of shoring systems, the ability to regrade stakes.
- Utilize pedals and levers to control the speed and direction of the machine.
- Utilize pedals or levers to control height/depth and angle/pitch of bucket.
- Install/change attachments using levers and hand tools.
- May be required to perform other labor/operator related tasks (based on experience, abilities, knowledge of incumbent, and direction of Foreman) as necessary in assisting crew with job completion.
Competencies and Requirements
- Knowledge of controls, methods, and techniques for operating Heavy Equipment.
- Ability to interpret grade stakes.
- Applicable dexterity, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination.
- Completion of Trenching and Confined Space safety course.
- Competent Persons Certification and Heavy Equipment Training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
