Job Description
WHECO Corporation has immediate openings for skilled shop mechanics in the Richland, WA area.
WHECO Corporation is a premier repair facility for Aerial lift equipment, Telehandlers, Boom Trucks, Cranes, Forklifts and many other construction related types of equipment.
Duties:
- Operate, diagnose and repair such equipment as boom lifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, forklifts, boom trucks, cranes, portable compressors and generators.
- Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic components (cylinders, pumps, valves, etc.)
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical components (engines, axles, transmissions, etc.)
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical system components.
- Telescoping boom disassembly and rebuild.
- Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, hose repairs,battery replacement, annual inspections and many other assorted services.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Skills:3 years experience as a mechanic in the related field preferred.
- Trade school or Technical training preferred.
- Hydraulic system experience.
- Understands the importance of time management.
- Ability to read and comprehend schematics, owner, operating and parts manuals.
- Must have own tools

WHECO can repair components such as crane and excavator booms, Heavy Equipment and carrier frames, operators and truck cabs, and mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and systems. If there are long lead times or obsolete components required, WHECO utilizes sophisticated “specialized engineering” solutions. WHECO can fabricate and machine individual pieces or entire components.
