Our work includes construction services for public works, water resources, wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), and site development. Your Responsibilities as a Heavy Equipment Fuel/Lube Technician

As a Heavy Equipment Fuel/Lube Technician at Petticoat-Schmitt, you’ll need a solid background in fueling and greasing Heavy Equipment and driving our Fuel/Lube truck to various construction sites in our local area.

• Driving to job sites fueling and servicing/greasing large equipment (dozers, excavators, etc.).
• Must be able to operate Heavy Equipment, if needing to be moved for service.
• Driver maintains a record of materials and the number of loads that are hauled for submission to the applicable project coordinator.

Requirements for the Heavy Equipment Fuel/Lube Technician Position at Petticoat-Schmitt:

• Class B CDL and solid history of safe driving are required for this position.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required.
• Knowledge of Jacksonville and surrounding areas is required.
• Knowledge of various construction job supplies is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute within a 50-mile radius around Jacksonville and surrounding areas, including counties of Nassau, Clay, Duval, and St. Johns
• 3+ years of heavy civil construction equipment operation experience (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Maintains a clean driving record.
• Maintains an updated safety/medical card.
• Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Punctual
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated.
• Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal.

Hours Information:

• Normal hours are M-F, 7am – 3:30pm
• Hours can extend depending on production needs.
• Some Saturdays as necessary. We are off on Sundays.
• We plan on working 40-45 hours per week. Overtime is likely but not guaranteed.
