Riverview International Trucks is seeking experienced Body Shop Technicians for our quickly growing Body Shop Department!
We are looking for individuals with 3 years or more experience (preferred) as a Body Shop Technician, Mechanic, or Collision Repair Specialist who are ready to go to work and be a part of a growing team in our Body Shop Department. Applicants need to be self-motivated, dependable, perform all tasks to the best of their ability, and work well with coworkers. Do not apply if you do not have experience, are a job jumper or you can’t pass a drug test, can't commit to working 40 hours a week or you do not have a clean DMV.
At Riverview International Trucks our Body Shop Technicians complete body repairs on all aspects of heavy-duty or medium-DUTY TRUCKs. From fiberglass repairs, aluminum and steel repair, paint, truck add-ons, and full collision repair - we will take on any job however big or small. Individuals should have a stable work history, be a self-starter and be able to work independently. We are looking for someone that has a commitment to quality workmanship. CDL not required, but preferred.
Hourly range between $27 per hour and $38.50 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities are as followed, but not limited to:
- Perform major and minor body repairs
- Perform fiberglass repairs
- Perform aluminum body panel repairs and replacement
- Perform steel and aluminum welding
- Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections
- Responsible to adhere to all warranty policies and procedures
- Ability to use electronic technical manuals and resources to diagnose and repair
- Provide accurate documentation on repair orders
What you need - JOB REQUIREMENTS:
We have an immediate opening for Body Shop Technicians & Painters in West Sacramento, CA. The successful candidate will repair or replace damaged body parts back to pre-accident condition per factory and dealership specifications. The result will be a quality repair that meets or exceeds the original factory fit and be an invisible repair.
Requirements:
- Review each repair order and estimator's notes to understand repairs needed prior to beginning work.
- Install and repair truck equipment per the manufacturer's technical repair process.
- Complete jobs within established time frames.
- Perform work and maintain 98% return - free work.
- Communicates with the shop foreman or manager if additional parts are needed to finish a repair.
- Informs Body Shop Manager of all customer concerns so they may be handled before the vehicle leaves the shop.
- Develops good relations with customers, adjusters, and insurance companies.
- Maintains a high quality of work.
- Provides proper housekeeping of the Body Shop area and overall shop appearance.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to obtain a Class A or Class B license
- Desire to train and progress to the top
- Possess Own tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
Skills:
- Solid working knowledge of power tools required to perform all phases of truck/chassis repair.
- Good communication in both verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction.
- Work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Training in body shop repair and estimating may be required.
- Training in welding preferred.
