Summary Description:
- Outside sales representatives work in the field via face-to-face interactions with potential and existing customers selling products.
- Outside Sales representatives assist customers and solicit additional sales.
- Outside sales representatives should build rapport and achieve customer satisfaction.
- Outside Sales representatives are responsible for gaining new leads and converting them to ongoing customers through relationship building.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travels within sales territory to meet prospects and customers.
- Conducts calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily.
- Sells products within assigned territory.
- Builds and maintains relationships with new and repeat customers.
- Maintains records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, and lost business by utilizing the WPCRM system daily to ensure accuracy.
- Educates customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
- Maintains ongoing effective communication with customers.
- Answer’s customer’s questions about pricing, products, availability, and product features.
- Stays informed about products and services.
- Recommends substitute parts if parts aren’t available.
- Monitor the industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand customers’ needs.
- Demonstrates the functions of the product to customers based on needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that might arise.
- Maintains communication with customers to alert them of new products, and enhancements.
- Maintains communication with the Inside Sales team regarding the availability of parts.
- Maintains 28% of Gross Margin Profit.
- Performs other tasks as required by the Outside Sales Manager or Upper Management.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 2-3 years experience in parts sales.
- Ability to speak and listen effectively.
- Customer Service experience.
- Basic computer skills.
