Full Time Position - Heavy Civil & Underground Concrete Estimator - Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator with a strong background in Heavy Civil construction, with a preference for expertise in underground concrete projects.

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in evaluating project requirements, analyzing costs, and preparing accurate estimates to support successful bidding processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Assessment: Evaluate project plans, specifications, and requirements for Heavy Civil construction projects, focusing on underground concrete elements. Conduct thorough site visits and inspections to gather essential data for accurate estimates.

2. Cost Analysis: Utilize knowledge of construction materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop detailed cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project complexities and potential challenges.

3. Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that clearly outline cost breakdowns, project timelines, and any value engineering opportunities. Ensure bid submissions align with company strategies and industry standards.

4. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects, providing recommendations to mitigate risks.

5. Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favorable terms. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support efficient procurement processes.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

· Proven experience as an Estimator in Heavy Civil construction, with a focus on underground concrete projects.

· Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

· Knowledge of industry regulations and construction best practices.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Pay: $135,000.00 per year
