Aerospace Component Supplier is seeking a Heat Treat Technicians with varying ranges of experience in Peterborough, NH!
Heat Treat Technician
$17-30/hr
Performs Heat Treat operations on components to specified procedures according to required quality standards by performing the below duties
Requirements:
Education:Tech
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Prior machine operation and/or demonstrated mechanical aptitude preferred
Abilities:
* Ability to efficiently and proficiently manage the flow of product from one step in the process to the next applying on-the-job training
* Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction) and maintain an understanding of the decimal system
* Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization
Other Requirements:
Note: Physical job requirements may include standing, use of hands to assemble and or carry out job functions as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping during the course of the job.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Essential Functions:
* Responsible for building Heat Treat loads under the guidance of senior Heat Treat personnel.
* Responsible for preparing Heat Treat load to run in furnaces (ex: part counts, processing parts through wash station, etc.).
* Perform utility roles under the guidance of senior Heat Treat personnel (ex: load/unload parts from conveyors on certain machines, assist with PM/6S duties, move parts to subsequent operations, etc.).
* Ability to follow instructions from senior Heat Treat personnel and/or established procedures.
* Willingness to be flexible with daily work assignments.
* Work may be subject to audited inspections.
* Recognize and report any irregularities as to defective parts, equipment, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship.
* Maintain necessary records.
* Detect and report unusual conditions to proper supervisor.
* Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
* Keep work area clean and equipment in clean and orderly condition including promptly reporting to Team Lead any oil/coolant leaks and/or spills.
