Job Summary:
Works under the direction of an audiologist performing clinical and administrative tasks related to hearing aids and basic assessment of the aid. After appropriate training and demonstration of competency, performs designated duties that are directly supervised by an audiologist. The role is to support the audiologist in performing routine tasks and duties. This person conducts pure tone audiometry, electronystagmography (ENG) and videostagmography (VNG) evaluations; fits and dispenses hearing assistive technology devices including hearing aids. Cleans equipment and performs daily biologic calibration and maintain supplies for the clinic and lab.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year of experience with hearing aids or audiology service is required.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSURE:
Hearing INSTRUMENT SPECIALIST license required or must have applied and obtain within 90 days of hire.
