Job Description
Seeking a curious and creative Healthcare Project Coordinator, willing to learn how to weave together health care policy and technology in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, an independent self-starter, and someone comfortable coordinating tasks and a small project team and interacting with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support a team working to provide Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Model teams with technology solutions that support data needs
- Coordinating a small team of developers and data scientists
- Support writing requirements, technical documentation, user guides, communication materials, etc.
- Coordinate meetings, manage timelines, create and manage work plans
- Monitor, support, and participate in project-relevant calls
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in health, social policy, communications, political science, or similar field (Masters preferred) or equivalent relevant experience
- 1 year of relevant work or intern experience (in addition to experience in lieu of degree)
- Experience working independently on projects and in a team-oriented environment
- Experience coordinating tasks and small project teams
- Interest in projects that bring together policy and technology (e.g. web applications, websites, portals, data collection systems, public reporting systems, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience demonstrating initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving
- Experience demonstrating strategic and big-picture thinking
- Experience prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated aptitude and enthusiasm for learning and collaboration
- Demonstrated interest in health and social policy, specifically health care innovation models
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience working on projects for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) or related Federal or state agency
- Interest and/or experience working on projects related to health care data (quality, clinical, expenditure, utilization, health equity, patient experience, etc.)
- Able to manage workload with minimal supervision
- Willingness to be flexible regarding specific responsibilities, timelines, and tasks as dictated by evolving project needs, and to be trained by and work closely with peers
- Experience with HL7 FHIR standards
