ABOUT THE HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (HMP):
The HMP internship could be the first stepping stone in your career journey and can lead to many opportunities at Northwell including prime consideration for a full-time job in our Management Associate Program post graduation.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

- The HMP internship is a 10-week paid program built to immerse our Summer Associates in all aspects of healthcare administration and operations in one of our participating hospitals, clinical service lines, departments or healthcare-related businesses.
- Summer Associates are partnered with a hand-picked mentor to teach and guide them through their internship experience.

Responsibilities
- Participates in the preparation of analytics data to support the work of the department.*
- Facilitates and ensures completion of assigned departmental projects.*
- Meets with administration leadership to support analysis of scope of service and data.*
- Reviews and assists in the analysis of external data for patterns, trends and methodology.*
- Assists in studies to objectively ascertain the efficiency, economy and effectiveness of department or Hospital operations, policies and procedures.*
- Assists management in facilitating new programs and/or procedures.*
- Performs related duties, as required.
*ADA Essential Functions
Required Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's level program, majoring in a related field, required.
- Current undergraduate college students whose expected graduation date is between December 2024 and May 2025
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel, required.
- Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting, preferred.
