TheBusiness Analystfor the Arkansas AME DSS Project will be responsible understanding and analyzing all aspects of the services and deliverables for the project. The individual in this role will be a business specialist and subject matter expert, analyzing and solutioning requirements with colleagues and business clients.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to develop requirement and specification documents
  • Serve as a key resource in decomposing and solutioning complex analytic requirements
  • Recognize, gather, correlate, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, devise solutions and alternatives, and make appropriate recommendations
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and present information and findings to client, leadership, and other stakeholders groups
  • Translate business requirements into test plans
  • Track and understand changes/defects/issues/risks; own the process through to finalization and resolution
  • Provide input into project planning, estimation, and task prioritization
  • Continuously improve the quality of business processes and steward for the highest quality standards
  • Monitor industry and program standards, laws, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Use range of tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Project, Purview, and Visio
  • Balance multiple projects and priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of business analysis in the healthcare industry
  • 3+ years of experience gathering and documenting requirements
  • Experience analyzing business processes/workflows, and providing evaluations, benchmarks and/or process improvement recommendations
  • Experience communicating data analysis results, including trends and opportunities, both verbally and in written form, to clients and colleagues
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proven excellent problem solving skills, including managing multiple priorities, and researching conflicting and/or inaccurate data


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medicaid data and programs experience
  • Data analysis experience using one or more of the following BI Tools: Power BI or Cognos
  • Experience working with CMS and HEDIS
  • Knowledge of state federal reporting requirements for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • Solid working knowledge of data quality and master data management concepts
  • Solid working knowledge of change, incident, and project management procedures and best practices
  • Local to Little Rock, AR with the ability to work in the office a couple days a week
