Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Health Services Manager in Ambulatory and Allied Services with oversight responsibilities for the 5NJB clinics (Neurosurgery, Surgical Spine, Sports Medicine and Stroke Clinics).
WORK SCHEDULE:
• Full-time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per week

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
    The Spine Center at Harborview provides a cost-effective multidisciplinary approach to spine care. Our goal is not just pain relief. We work to maximize the restoration of function. Treatment options range from exercises to major surgery, and we match each patient with the right providers and treatment plan.
    The Stroke Clinic at Harborview Medical Center cares for patients with cerebrovascular disease who have suffered a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) or who are at risk for stroke or TIA. We focus on primary and secondary stroke prevention, and our goals include reducing the incidence of stroke through identification and control of stroke risk factors, reducing morbidity and mortality of a stroke through emergency care for patients with acute stroke, diagnostic services, treatment options and a comprehensive rehabilitation program. We treat more than 800 stroke patients annually, and individual care plans are based on an initial evaluation that may include a complete medical history and physical examination, stroke-risk and lifestyle education, and ancillary tests.
    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrates Fiscal responsibility by assuring cost effective delivery of quality patient care.
  • Manages personnel: hires, orients and coaches staff, including progressive disciplinary action as required.
  • Promotes excellence in patient care delivery and outcomes by coordinating or participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, standards and clinical education.
  • Develops an effective team, demonstrates leadership and accountability for the effectiveness of the service area and the organization.
  • Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality programs and patient care.
  • Assures a safe environment for the provision of patient care.
  • Provides strategic planning to promote departmental effectiveness.
  • Leads and/or participates in organization initiatives.
  • Supports the evaluation of program expansion or changes to align with Harborview goals and strategic plan.
  • Demonstrates accountability for advancing own knowledge and competence.
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 2 years of previous healthcare leadership experience
