General Summary:
The Health, Safety, Environmental, (HSE) & Compliance Officer ensures that all company policies and procedures are abided by and adhered to, as well as maintaining compliance with all Customer, OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
The key responsibilities are to perform job-site visitations, audits, incident investigations, and emergency response. They also assist operations with compliance and communication of existing HSE programs by performing meetings, trainings, and new hire orientations.
Responsibilities:
- Abides by company policies and procedures as laid out in HR and Safety Handbooks.
- Abides by company policies and procedures of all other contractors that Merut Construction is serving/working with.
- Arrives at reporting location on time when scheduled for work.
- Executes a multitude of assignments and utilizes excellent time management skills.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices onsite and at Company headquarters, including daily inventory of tools, disposal of site waste, etc.
- Diligently follows safety and incident reporting procedures of Company and associated contractors.
Qualifications (Include but are not limited to):
- 2 – 5 Years of previous experience with construction – utility preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
- OSHA 30 certified.
- Board of Certified Safety Professionals Credentialing (desired).
- Ability to promote a positive work culture.
- Commitment to quality work and customer service.
- A valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.
