Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Health & Safety Administrator to join our organization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and implementing health and safety initiatives, policies, and programs. The Health & Safety Administrator will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance with regulations, promote a safe working environment, and contribute to the overall well-being of employees.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Health & Safety Program.
- Administer the company’s Health & safety training program through the learning management system.
- Coordinate health and safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing refresher courses.
- Oversee the recordkeeping process for documentation of workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, audits, inspections, training, and more.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new employees.
- Maintain third-party procurement websites accounts such as ISNetworld®, PICS®, PECS®, Veriforce® and NCMS.
- Develop educational and promotional materials, training content, newsletters, etc. to promote a safe work place and support program initiatives.
- Collaborate with location managers to address and rectify identified safety deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Process and track documentation and follow up as necessary with teams to ensure compliance.
- Prepare reports on safety performance and trends.
- Work closely with the safety committee to address concerns, facilitate communication, and implement safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with procurement to acquire necessary PPE supplies.
- Assist with the monitoring, tracking, and reporting of the Department and locations budget for Health & safety related expenses.
- Provide a safety resource to your fellow workers.
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required, 2-4 year degree preferred.
Experience in health and safety administration or a related role.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and other relevant regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions:
This role primarily operates in an office setting but may require occasional visits to field locations. The Health & Safety Administrator may be exposed to various environmental conditions.
