Health Information Security Specialist

(remote position – Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday schedule – 12pm – 8:30pm ET)
Under the direction of the VP of Health Information Privacy, the Health Information Security Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Compliance Department, Privacy and Security Program through participation in medical record management, system account provisioning, system access monitoring, monitoring of policy and program adherence and other special projects as assigned.
Summary of Duties:

• Assist in the set up and maintenance of user accounts and security access
• Provide customer support to address user access problems
• Review medical record requests and related inquiries
• Prepare reports and analysis of information related to key program functions
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must possess excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Proven work experience in a similar role
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with customer service and system issues
• Demonstrated ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
