Harney District Hospital is seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Clerk to be a part of the HIM team. This position is a part-time position, working approximately 20 hours per week. The HIM Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of office tasks necessary to complete charts, scan records, answer phones and other general office duties. Required Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of general office procedures and record keeping methods, word processing and computer applications software.
- General knowledge of confidentiality concepts and requirements.
Education and Experience
- Equivalent to a high school education and six (6) months of general office experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
- Previous experience in a medical records environment is desirable.
