Job Summary:
Under general supervision, responsible for recommending and implementing health education programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge related to the improvement of an individual, family or community basis.
Job Duties:
- Plans, organizes and attends community events including health fair presentations and other small group educational activities.
- Assists in preparation of educational activities as needed for community and educational events.
- Assists providers in the identification of patients at high risk due to family history.
- Collaborates with research faculty and staff in community-based research projects recruiting participants and providing services and education.
- Performs fieldwork recruiting participants, collecting data, and maintaining database.
- May obtain medical histories, physical examinations, laboratory determinations, blood drawing and performance of physiological exams.
- Networks with community-serving organizations and clinics to promote partnerships.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
Experience:
One (1) year related experience is required.
