Our Health Data Analysts play a meaningful role at Blue Cross of Idaho, performing research, analysis and troubleshooting of complex data. This role collaborates with other teams to make makes recommendations based on relevant findings.
To be considered this position, you have the following:
Experience (Level I): 2 years' data analysis
Experience (Level II): 4 years' data analysis
Education (Level I & Level II): Bachelor's Degree Finance, Information Systems, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)
We'd also love it if you have:
- Health Insurance/Healthcare knowledge
- Ability to explain reports to a broad audience.
- SQL knowledge and experience
- Comfortable with large data sets outside of Excel
- Ability to be a self-starter, while balancing multiple tasks and meeting timelines
In this role, we will ask you to:
- Access data warehouse and data marts to produce and/or develop relevant data and reports to support Provider Operations.
- Perform various types of analysis and research
- Collaborate with business functional subject matter experts to validate findings and provide insights and recommendations specific to the scope of the analysis.
- Analyze business systems data to fulfill information requests by reviewing production processes, data models, and data-entry procedures where standard reports are need, but not available.
- Identify variation and outliers in Provider data and participate in identifying and implementing solutions in collaboration with internal partners.
- Participate in the development, maintenance and ongoing staff education of data and reporting standards for the organization.
