Job description

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst is responsible for supporting the Family Health Resource (FHR) department by performing internal audits on all applications submitted to the Division of Public Assistance (DPA). Completes FHR internal audits to aid in increasing the accuracy and ongoing refinement of the Medicaid application process. The Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst will provide reports and training that support the team's goals to increase revenue through assisting customer-owners to apply for third party insurance. The Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst is the primary contact with the DPA workers stationed on the ANMC campus, enabling clear and concise communication of the needs of FHR and DPA to further enhance the collaboration of the two parties.
Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health, Public Health, Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and/or equivalent experience.
  2. Two (2) years of experience working in Revenue Cycle, Public assistance enrollment; or demonstrated proficiency as Health Benefits Specialist III or Benefit Enrollment Specialist.
  3. Certification as a State of Alaska - Certified Application Counselor (CAC)
  4. Department of Veterans Affairs-Tribal Veteran Representative Training Certificate
  5. State of Alaska Hospital Presumptive Eligibility Training Certificate

Additional Qualifications for Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst:
  1. Two (2) years of experience or demonstrated proficiency as a Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst at Southcentral Foundation.

Native Preference:
Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.

You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
