About the Position:
TheHeadless WordPress Developer position will utilize their web development and PostgreSQL experience to lead projects in a dynamic team. This individual will create high-quality and efficient web deployments such as developing custom plugins, configuring APIs, and enhancing system functionality and optimization of PostgreSQL databases by applying their experience with object-oriented programming and following CI/CD best practices.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
Your Role:
- Lead development projects in a headless WordPress environment, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Configure and implement APIs for content delivery and management.
- Apply expertise in PostgreSQL to optimize database performance and ensure seamless integration with WordPress applications.
- Utilize object-oriented programming for custom plugin development and system enhancements.
- Implement and enforce Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) best practices to streamline development workflows.
- Work with specific technologies including, but not limited to, WP Engine, WP Admin, and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to deploy changes and ensure the reliability of web applications.
- Collaborate as part of a small, dynamic team, contributing to diverse projects.
- Provide technical leadership to the organization, guiding through best web practices and efficient workflows.
Qualifications:
- Programming (SQL and Object-Oriented Language, preferably JavaScript) experience required.
- Three to Five years of recent experience in a web development role required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development (WordPress with a focus on headless WordPress), or equivalent experience in related field.
- WordPress Certification preferred.
- PostgreSQL Certified Engineer preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in Headless WordPress development and plugins, with a focus on WP Engine and WP Admin.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database management.
- Solid experience in API Management, implementing secure and scalable API solutions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices.
- Experience leading development teams and managing projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction, as part of a team, and have the ability to manage time, set priorities and focus energies in an efficient manner.
- Ability to be agile and flexible with evolving projects.
- Ability to be very flexible in reprioritizing.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrate professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $60,000 to $120,000 per year. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
