JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Langston UniversityDepartment of Athletics is seeking applications for the position of Head Volleyball Coach. Located in Langston, Oklahoma,40 miles north of Oklahoma City, Langston University is a Historically Black College & University (HBCU), an NAIA institutionand member of the Sooner AthleticConference (SAC). This is a full-time 12-month position. The Head Volleyball Coach will be a positive, energetic leader who is responsible for the overall management of theVolleyball program with student-athlete welfare as a guiding principle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads all aspects of a competitive NAIA Volleyball Program
Recruit and graduate student-athletes who maintain the standards of the university and department.
Schedule practices, games, transportation/accommodations, and travel itineraries for road games with the approval of the Athletic Director and in coordination with the Administrative Assistant to Athletics.
Prepare and oversee the program budget.
Represent the Langston Athletics at Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) and national meetings as assigned.
Coordinate all aspects of a diverse and dynamic Volleyball program including, but not limited to managing the day-to-day operations, recruiting academically, athletically and mission-fit student-athletes, assisting with fundraising, budget management and hiring support staff.
Support and engage in campus community events
Supervise support staff (Graduate Assistants and Team Managers)
Recruits and hires competent and effective support staff.
Mentor and supervise support staff.
Marketing and Fundraising efforts
Assists with the coordination of program marketing, media and public relations.
Assists with facilitating charitable giving by donors and fundraising events.
Adheres to all National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Sooner AthleticConference (SAC) and Langston Athleticsrules and regulations.
Attend mandatory compliance and departmental meetings as scheduled.

Bachelor's degree required.
3- years of experience
