We are seeking a Head Theater Ambassador for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.
We want to work alongside someone who acts as an extension of our mission, values, and culture. This individual is driven to create meaningful experiences for our hosts, guests, and community while ensuring the success and profitability of our unique offerings. They also bring fun, authenticity, collaboration, creativity, and genuine hospitality to their life and work. We seek an individual who can bring the vision of the resorts to life. The right Head Theater Ambassador checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Oversee the cleanliness and sanitization of indoor/outdoor venues, queue lines, closets, and surrounding areas and report any maintenance needs to Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Oversee daily assignment of positions at specified areas and venues. Hold brief meeting each morning to discuss assignments.
- Provide training for new experience ambassadors, including how to handle guest opportunities and following all company policies.
- Guarantee entertainment signage and show times are posted accurately each day.
- Ensure experience ambassadors inside/outside the venues are providing a safe environment for guests as needed.
- Be a positive servant leader.
- Fill out venue reports as necessary.
- Create and communicate area placement schedules.
- Communicate with the are leadership regarding venue operations such as: house opening, reserved seating, temperature control, etc.
- Serve as theater leadership in regards to all concerns or questions before contacting Entertainment PIC.
- Perform regular duties as assigned.
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.
Education and Experience Required
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent verbal communicator – consistent and detailed.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
- Leadership experience preferred, within an entertainment or guest service field highly preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.

- Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties.
- Able to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
- Able to get along with other employees to work out problems and resolve conflicts.
- Able to comprehend instructions and retain information.
- Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Able to be productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
- Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time.
- Able to tolerate various temperatures while working outdoors.
- Able to count.
- Must wear costume as outlined by Entertainment team.
- Able to bend at the waist and knees multiple times throughout a shift.
- Able to lift 20 lbs.
- Need finger movement to handle tickets and/or counters.
- Able to push and pull.
- Ability to work with and tolerate detergents and chemicals utilized in the area.
- Able to wear all PPE as required.
- Able to tolerate noise at high levels.
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Must be comfortable with public speaking to a large crowd during an emergency situation.
