Jefferies is seeking a Global Head of Platforms Security Engineering and Mobility, reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), who will be responsible for protecting systems using endpoint security technologies, secure core Microsoft offerings, and enhance mobility solutions. The desired candidate is an experienced subject matter expert with experience across operating systems security and endpoint security technologies, including, Endpoint Detection Response (EDR), Anti-malware solutions & Data Loss Prevention. The candidate also has experience with securing SaaS solutions and understands how to secure cloud technologies, including Salesforce and Microsoft365.
Additionally, candidate must have expertise in zero-trust architecture as it relates to Azure AD in a co-managed environment. The person will partner closely with the Global Head of Security Operations to increase SecOps visibility across the enterprise and take feedback to improve visibility for the analysts. Candidate must have a strong technical background and proven ability to influence architecture across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive global strategy for platforms security and mobility, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Platform Security: Oversee the design and implementation of robust security measures for our platform infrastructure, including threat detection, incident response, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Mobility Solutions: Drive innovation in mobility solutions, enabling seamless and secure access to company resources for employees, and partners, while enhancing user experience.
- Team Management: Lead a team of security experts and mobility specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and protect Jefferies assets.
- Vendor and Technology Management: When required, evaluate, and manage third-party vendors and technologies, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, legal, and compliance, to ensure that security projects are integrated into all relevant principles and initiatives.
- Reporting and Governance: Provide regular reports and updates to executive leadership on the status of Platform Security and mobility initiatives, highlighting key metrics and achievements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10 years of demonstrable and hands-on experience in securing Windows operating systems & Endpoint Security tools.
- 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles in cybersecurity, Platform Security, and mobility solutions, with a strong track record of success.
- Deep knowledge of Platform Security best practices, emerging threats, and industry trends.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
- Experience with scripting like Python, PowerShell etc., is highly preferred
- Experience working within the Financial Services Industry preferred.
- Ability to elicit confidence and build rapport across multiple disciplines.
The salary range for this role is $175,000-$240,000.
