Location
This role will lead our globally distributed IT team, working remotely and collaborating with key leaders and stakeholders around the world. We are open to considering candidates based on the East Coast of the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico (eastern or atlantic time zones).

The Opportunity
This is an exciting new opportunity to centralize and shape DoiT's future global IT Operations Strategy, SaaS Procurement and IT Project Management. You will also be directly responsible for our global IT Support Team, which supports onboarding, offboarding, troubleshooting, and key IT projects across the business.

The successful candidate should be highly detail-oriented and focused on building scalable, repeatable, and centralized processes. A high degree of collaboration is required, working cross-functionally internally between IT Team members, key stakeholders, and externally with DoiT's chosen IT vendors and procurement partners.

Responsibilities

Lead IT Team:

  • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for IT team members
  • Coordinate with IT Collective of SMEs to identify patterns and mitigate root cause issues that require additional expertise and cross-training
  • Cross-train in key IT Support needs, ensuring coverage and business continuity and taking a hands-on approach whenever needed0
  • Provide context to technical conversations that drive clear goals and prioritization
  • Managing configuration changes and optimizing IT workloads
  • Manage our Head of Infosec, serving as an escalation point and sounding board for InfoSec Project and Program Management initiatives across Product, Sales and IT

Centralize IT Operations:

  • Promote a culture of transparency, documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Centralize SaaS Procurement, user and tooling management across all apps and services at DoiT. (Partnering with departmental SMEs and Operations Teams.)
  • Control software licensing remediation efforts and create proactive audit cycles
  • Regulate and support mid-lifecycle user management requests
  • Optimize processes and procedures to support efficient offboarding de-provisioning
  • Track Metrics, Patterns and SLAs for successful IT Operations

Establish IT Project Management Practice:

  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation tools and API workflows to streamline IT Service Delivery
  • Balance the tradeoffs in technical approaches to prioritize both scalability and stability
  • Lead a team through large-scale projects, RFPs for new core tools and more with a defined approach to project management, managing internal communications and collaborating with key stakeholders across the business
  • Collaborate with auxiliary Operations Teams in Sales and Client Services to elevate the overall Enterprise IT experience at DoiT

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as an IT and Operational Leader, with experience managing direct reports and relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience owning IT Procurement with strong negotiation skills and an eye for efficiency and savings
  • Google Workspace administration experience is required. (Professional Google Workspace Administrator certification, preferred.)
  • Experience with developing and implementation of asset management: licenses, hardware, etc
  • Strong service orientation and drive to offer a stellar employee experience across the globe
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation independently
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Virtual/remote support experience is required
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills: excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and formal presentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
