PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Global Real Estate & Facilities Organization (GRF) helps SAP run better and is a key enabler for employee efficiency, innovation capability, employer attractiveness and ultimately SAP’s brand value. As a truly global organization, we are responsible for more than 200 locations in more than 70 countries worldwide, managing a real-estate portfolio of more than 1.8 million square meter office space. In addition, GRF is responsible for operating the SAP Data Centers.

MISSION AND EXPECTED IMPACT

In this role, the candidate will be accountable for all strategic, tactical, and operational tasks in the areas Real Estate, Project and Facility Management in the Americas region along with delivering tangible projects that aligns business needs and demands with market possibilities and innovative workplace design taking into account future of work in close collaboration with our Global Real Estate team. In addition, act as a business partner for the Board Area “Customer Success” in AMERICAS.

Towards our internal customers: a continuous improvement in effective workplace delivery, location strategies, facilities operation, service orientation towards business demands and a demonstrated leadership in innovative workplace solutions. It’s also expected that the candidate is comfortable with the Transformation Agent, Business Partner and Financial Steward roles.


Towards GRF: A customer and service-oriented delivery organization for Facility Services, project delivery, Real Estate & workplace solutions and source of innovation with a strong focus on continuous improvement and change management.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

What you will do:

  • Leads an organization responsible for delivering Real Estate, workplace and facility service solutions based on business, market and trending demands in the Americas.
  • Strong communication on executive level 
  • High focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery
  • Establish solid relationships with internal and external Business Partners and Executives
  • Strong leader with high trust level in own organization
  • Participate in GRF strategy development and create direction and goals for GRF AMERICAS
  • Innovate, design and implement new workplace strategies incl. innovation in workplace design in alignment with global teams
  • Supports and facilitates learning and change management processes with a strong focus on developing all members of the team
  • Develops and maintains city strategies including workforce planning in alignment and guided by the Global Real Estate team.
  • Financial control, analysis, and reporting
  • A thought leader representing GRF internally and externally at events and seminars

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

What you will bring:

  • A strong leader with focus on customer satisfaction and relationship building able to manage needs and expectations and deliver solutions within financial boundaries
  • Ability to build and develop a strong organization, relationships and trust
  • Change management and personnel management skill sets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and secure executive support and communicate on executive level
  • Solution oriented in customers and stakeholder meetings
  • Degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Architecture, Finance, Legal or Business with an emphasis on Real Estate; Facilities or Construction preferred
  • Membership and participation in Facilities and Real Estate professional organizations is an advantage
  • English fluent - other languages are an additional benefit
  • Ideally functional knowledge of various aspects in Facilities Management, Construction, Real Estate and Strategic Planning
  • Experience in managing virtual teams and work in a global environment and to lead in a global hybrid model
  • Innovator who creates and sets best practices and guidelines
  • Visionary and ability to translate strategy into tangible objectives and actions
  • Strategic thinking and multitasking
  • Strong financial acumen – budgeting, forecast, analysis and ability to find cost efficient value creating solutions
  • Financial control, analysis, and reporting
  • A thought leader representing GRF internally and externally at events and seminars

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Leader with 10+ years people management skills and at least 5+ years’ experience in leading a large service organization in a corporate environment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Americas
  • 10 years + Executive level experience ideally in global or regional Real Estate/Facilities/Services Organization with portfolios larger than 200.000 square meter across several countries
  • Record in value creation and innovation
  • Demonstrated strong ability collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 190400 - 448,200(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
