The Equity Capital Markets business in New York originates, structures and executes equity transactions on behalf of HSBC’s clients. Principal products and services provided are as follows: Initial Public Offering (IPO), Follow-On Offering and Share Buybacks.
The successful candidate for the Head of ECM role will lead the Americas Equity Capital Markets team within the Investment Banking business based in New York. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be focused on continuing to grow the Equity Capital Markets business to ensure strategic and business objectives are achieved.
Your role will be to support Investment Banking management in the implementation of the team’s strategy to maintain a strong, sustainable deal pipeline across the platform, in line with the group purpose, vision and values through building, and maintaining client relationships and engaging with other bankers across the global HSBC network. ECM Americas is part of a global ECM business with other offices in Europe, Middle East and Asia. You will routinely interact with members of our global network to execute HSBC’s business strategy.
As our Head of Equity Capital Markets Americas you will:
- Built and maintain client relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Manage Equities Research, Sales and Trading, in addition to other product (Strategic equity, DCM, Leverage Finance) and investment banking sector teams, in addition to coverage bankers. As well as Global Banking, Commercial Banking, including Innovation Banking clients across the sectors
- Follow GBM Compliance procedures and guidance, completes compliance / risk and control related on-going training and assessments before the due dates
- Understand and ensure compliance with, all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved
- Is aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations
For this role, the targeted fixed pay is $400,000.00
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
