About the Role:
As our Head of Engineering, you will be the driving force behind our technology development strategy and execution. You will lead a team of engineers in developing and maintaining innovative solutions that advance our mission. You
will have the opportunity to shape the future of technology in the voluntary benefits industry and make a real difference in the lives of millions of people.
Responsibilities:
· Define and implement the overall technology vision and roadmap, aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
· Lead and mentor a team of engineers across various disciplines, including software development, infrastructure and security.
· Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
· Support the Scrum Master in the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices.
· Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and secure technology solutions.
· Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology with business needs.
· Stay up to date on the latest technology trends and identify opportunities to leverage them for our benefit.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within the engineering field.
· Proven experience in building and motivating high-performing engineering teams.
· Strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
· Solid Java coding experience and knowledge of relevant technologies.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
